Message "You have not sufficient privileges to access this part of the site"
Access to different parts of the site (both the database site and the forum) are based on user privileges. Currently only a relatively small part of the site is open to everyone, but even IFRC team members do not automatically have access to all parts of the site (for instance data upload privileges are limited on a need basis). If you feel that you got this message in error, first make sure that you are logged in. If you are logged in, this should be shown in the top bar (you should see text saying Logged in as xxx. If you do not see this (but just see a link saying Log in you are not logged in.
I am making a graph/animation, but it takes a really long time - is something broken?
There is a lot of data in the database, and if your graph involves retrieving and graphing lots of data it will take time. We are working on putting on several aspects of this issue: trying to speed up graphing, providing an estimation of how long things will take, and possible the ability to email results to you (or retrieve them later on. In general, when you are using a page for the first time, try to do something reasonable first (so do not try to graph all temperature sensor data for all times).
Data is missing from the site!
We try to collect and organize all the data from the IFRC. However, for this we are dependent on scientists at PNNL and of the larger IFRC team. If your data is not on the site, please post a note in the forum (in the "website features" forum), and we will contact you to get your data
There is something wrong with the data!
A lot of this data has up to now only been looked at by a small group of scientists, and it is highly likely that there are some issues with the data. This can include missing data, data with physically impossible values, data which is not consistent with surrounding data and so on. If you notice something like this, please post a note, and we will look into this, and try to resolve what the problem is.
